The images were informed by historical records, first hand accounts, and photographs of building exteriors. They are not intended to be fully historically accurate or to serve as documentation, but rather to convey a sense of atmosphere and concept.

There are three poor farm cemetery sites in Kings County: the Horton Poor Farm Cemetery in Greenwich, the Waterville Poor Farm Cemetery in Waterville, and the Cornwallis Poor Farm Cemetery in Billtown.
